Reflective Journal Prompts WK 3

Reflective Journal Prompts WK 3

Hello,

This week I went with the following seven journal prompts. As I was doing the previous weeks journal prompts I realized that for some of them more questions for deeper reflection arise. I decided that I will try to add some of those questions or aids for further reflection under each journal prompt.

As we are going through major challenges/ obstacles we are often unable to see past the challenge, it is later as we reflect, we are able to see it as a learning experience more often or not. Some major obstacles teach us resourcefulness, resilience, some teach us that we are actually stronger than we think. What did this particular obstacle teach you? What did you feel? How did you move through does feelings? How did you manage them? What did you have to do to get to the other side of the obstacle? How did you feel once you over came it? What are your thoughts on that experience now?

This journal prompt is one of those that I could write such a long journal for. This world is so beautiful and there are so many places I would love to visit, and experience. Share on the comments a place or places you would love to visit. What about this place attracted you? What do you want to do and experience there? During what time of the year would you prefer to visit? Who would you like to have this experience with?

This journal prompt is a tough one! It is hard to accept we have negative habits or behaviors, it is more often easier to just not acknowledge these things and just ignore them. And it is even harder to change them, but the truth is that we all have them. So lets choose one together, and be on our way to change it. The whole point of these reflective journal prompts is to acknowledge and evolve to a better person.

First, what is this habit or behavior you would like to change? How do you plan to change this habit or behavior? When will you start? How will changing this habit or behavior improve your your life? Why do you want to make this change?

I chose this journal prompt because in my experience, I feel that I don’t acknowledge the feeling of belonging when I experience it as much as I should. I definitely notice and recognize when I do not belong but I do not make as big of a deal when I do feel a sense of belonging (internally); and it is such a big deal. What did you feel when you felt that strong sense of belonging? How did your body feel? What was your energy like? What where your facial expressions like? Who were you with? What were you doing? What were you talking about? When did this happen? Can you do something to experience this more?

This is such a beautiful and positive journal prompt. What about this person inspires you? How have thy impacted your life thus far?

These moments are the moments to remember and cherish. What were you doing? Where were you? How did your body experience this moment of joy and happiness? How did your mind experience this moment? What about your soul? What did if feel like? Were you with someone? Who were you with?

I love this prompt because it makes us aware. A lot of us need a reminder to be more organized or time efficient, at the end of the day when we are more organized it only benefits us to do more of what we want. This prompt helps be more focused, and intentional; that for me turns into happiness and fulfillment.
